Costume Reference Library for Bounty Hunters
NO Canon or custom Mandalorians will be accepted
ARMOR
Bounty hunters traditionally use whatever high-quality items and armor they can scavenge from targets. As such their armor design is often a mixture of different sets of armor.
— Armor coverage can vary greatly from minimum of chest to full body coverage.
— No more then 2 pieces of armor may be “borrowed” from canon/legends.
(i.e. Stormtrooper shoulders, SnowTrooper chest armor, etc)
— Full canon/legend armor sets including with custom paint styles are not accepted.
(i.e. a repainted red and blue Stormtrooper kit will not qualify as a custom Bounty Hunter.)
HEAD COVERING
— Head and face may be covered at least in part by: Helmet, head wrap, mask, pilot cap w/ hat, etc.
-If canon/legends helmet or mask is used, modifications/customization to emphasize repurposing MUST be done.
BASE CLOTHING
— May vary greatly. Flightsuits, jumpsuit, in-universe military gear and more can be accepted.
— Reference photos for base clothing may be required.
— Soft goods should be tailored and not overly baggy.
BELT
— Belt must be constructed from leather or leather-like material or tactical webbing.
-If tactical webbing is used, it must be modified to appear in-universe.
— Must have holster IF pistol is used. Tactical holsters must be modified to appear in-universe.
— Bandoleer may be added.
— Belt and/or Bandoleer must have a minimum of two pouches or ammunition cartridges.
INTEGRATED WEAPONRY (Minimum of 2)
— Dart Launcher, Flame Thrower, Hidden blade (wrist, boot, knee, etc.), Wrist or Back rocket, Grappling hook/tether, Stun Device, Poison/Toxin injector, Carbonite ejector, Claws (if character is an alien species).
WEAPONRY (Minimum of 2)
::NERF GUNS MUST BE HIGHLY MODIFIED AND NO LONGER RESEMBLE THE BASE WEAPON::
— Blaster Carbine, Blaster Rifle, Blaster Pistol (2 pistols will meet the requirement), Hold-out Blaster, Grenades, Thermal Detonators, Vibro-knife, vibro-sword, Throwing knives.
— Blasters and other gear will need to pass the overall weapons and props guidelines.
ACCESSORIES (Minimum of 3)
— Enhanced targeting system (rangefinder, macro-binoculars, etc.), Datapad, Jetpack (jump-pack, jump-boots), Hunt trophies (ex. Wookie braids, claws/bones,rank badges, damaged lightsaber, etc.) Computer/Droid slicing tool, Communications device, hoses connecting armor to head covering, Reinforced (double layered) armor plating, Helmet mounted spotlamp.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
— Mix and Match costume design (bounty hunters rarely have matching sets of armor, most often their costume is a montage of different armor and weapons gathered over the years.
— Environmental Additions (bounty hunters track their targets through a slew of different environments across various worlds. As such they often change their armor configuration to best suit the needs of the hunt.)
— Battle Damage (Even the best take a hit here and there. Damage a costume and armor with tears, dents, scratches, scrapes, dirt, grime, and carbon scoring.)
— Alien Physiology
— Droid Bounty Hunters will have to follow, within reason the build of the droid chassis they are using. For example 4-LOM types MAY have an altered limb, but an IG-88 style build will be impossible on a human form. This may be outlined in a droid guide as yet to be published by The Dark Empire.
ALL CUSTOM COSTUMES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A CHARACTER “INSPIRATION” PHOTO ALSO SUBMITTED WITH IT TO REFERENCE YOUR “IN-UNIVERSE” RESEARCH.
Any Canon/Legend Bounty Hunter, if approvable by another club, must meet/exceed CRL expectations of that LFL recognized club unless otherwise stated.
Deviations from the above CRL can and will be accepted when Medical/physical conditions require it or when the applicant can provide LFL-approved artwork that shows proof of their concept.
All costume elements but are subject to review of the quality and fit of the overall costume as well as on a component by component basis.
